Guy Anderson, 72, of Albany, died Sunday, July 11, 2004 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center, Sylvester GA, following an illness. The remains have been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Kimbrell-Stern. Father Steve Schraufnagel will officiate.
A native of Chicago IL, Mr. Anderson was a long-time resident of Albany. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Albany MCLB, where he worked for more than 20 years.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), and was a member of the Catholic faith. He was an avid reader who loved to fish, hunt, and to be outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Joan Anderson of Albany; a daughter, Lisa Marie Champion of CA; 3 step-sons: Paul Jackson, DuWayne Jackson, and Shawn Jackson of Albany; a step-daughter, Mary Ward (Randy) of AL; and 6 grandchildren.
