Bainbridge - About 30 members of the 1230th Transportation Unit out of Bainbridge are with the 1148th in Kuwait. Homecoming celebrations are planned for all the soldiers in Bainbridge and in Thomasville.

Michelle Smith is the Family Coordinator for the 1230th. She says, "I'm happy for the families and the soldiers. They finally get to come home and there will be some relief knowing that they're here, not over there in harms way. I know they got to be happy."

Once the soldiers return to South Georgia they will go to Thomasville for an awards ceremony. A parade will be held in Bainbridge and then in Thomasville.
