U. S. Senate hopeful visits S. Georgia

July 14, 2004

Thomasville - Cain says he plans to bring conservative common sense to the United States Senate, and he hopes to do that with the help of the young supporters he brought with him to Thomasville.

"They are excited about what I'm talking about and the reason they're excited about what I'm talking about is because they get it," he says. "When you start talking about the tax code, when you start talking about social security structure, who's going to pay the biggest burden of those messes? The young people."

Cain says the tax code and social security need surgery, not band aids, and he plans to do major surgery if elected to the senate in November.
