Safe stolen from convenience store

July 14, 2004

Barwick - Three men broke into the Holiday Market in Barwick around 3:00 AM Wednesday. They took a safe containing an unknown amount of money from the store. Another safe and the cash register were also opened.

Investigator Joe McMurray says, "The cash register drawer wasn't stolen, they used some type of pry bar or tire tool to pry it open to gain access to the monies that were inside it."

The men busted out the front door to enter the store. Anyone with information on the burglary should contact the Thomas County Sheriff's Department.
