Albany - A long-time Albany eyesore will finally be demolished. The City now owns the old radiator shop on East Broad Avenue. For years, the dilapidated building sat vacant. Inside, there are signs of vagrants.
The City couldn't tear down the building until the Environmental Protection Division investigated contamination from improperly disposed chemicals used by the radiator shop years ago. Albany staffers say the building should be torn down by the end of August.
