Albany -- An Albany man wanted for armed robbery since November is arrested by sheriff's Investigators. Shortly after that, they arrest the robbery victim.

Dougherty County sheriff's deputies arrested 32-year-old Bernard Acree at 10:45 Monday morning at Medlock Court. Investigators say November 11th Acree shot 21-year-old Sherod Winchester in the stomach in the 1100 block of Lee Street and then robbed him.

Shortly after 11, investigators arrested Winchester and charged him with selling cocaine.

Lt. Craig Dodd said "It is unusual to be able to get two wanted felons, one of a violent wanted felon, based on tips received, within a few minutes of each other. It's very unusual."

Acree is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. Winchester faces four drug charges.

Both men are being held in the Dougherty County jail.
