Albanian eyes Governor's mansion

July 9, 2004

Albany-- While politicians are working for the July 20th primary election, some are looking two years down the road.

Lt. Governor Mark Taylor of Albany has filed the paperwork in Atlanta to run for Governor in 2006.

And he's already formed a fundraising committee. "I am very interested in running for Governor in 2006, and again it will be up to the people of Georgia if I am elected. I am just honored and blessed to be able to offer my services."

The Lt. Governor says he will make a formal announcement of his candidacy in the near future.
