Albany-- The former state caseworker is charged with stealing over $106,000 from more than 80 mentally disabled clients.

No friends or family were in the courtroom as Swanager stood before a Judge Friday morning.

Swanager managed checking and savings accounts for mentally disabled and people with substance abuse problems. Prosecutors say from September 1998 until April 2003 Swanager looted the accounts of more than $106,000.

Thursday, her house and cars were seized and her bank accounts frozen. Swanager had to ask the court to provide her a lawyer.

She remains in the Dougherty County jail.
