July 7, 2004Leesburg-- A Lee County man is accused of posing as a federal drug agent.
23-year-old Damon Williamson is in trouble for allegedly pretending to be a Drug Enforcement Administration agent.
In a joint investigation, the Lee County Sheriff's Office got a tip that Williamson was saying he was a federal agent, reportedly to impress some people.
A real DEA officer traveled to Lee County to investigate the accusation.
Williamson was arrested last night and charged with impersonating a peace officer, which is a felony.
