Sumter -- Two men are arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run.
Charles Preston and Paul Wilkinson, of Americus, were arrested hours after the accident. The victim, Clyde Mitchell was hit and killed by a passing Lincoln Town car on Highway 118 in Sumter County.
30 minutes later, deputies found the abandoned Lincoln behind a church. Deputies arrested three Americus men who were in the car but one was released. Both Preston and Wilkinson deny they were the driving the car.
