Albany- Tuesday's bond hearing was held for SOWEGA Council on Aging employee Jerrie Berry. She and seven others are charged with scheming to steal a million dollars from 82 year old Ima Rude.

Judge Stephen Goss granted  Berry's $15,000 bond even though the state voiced concerns that Berry could have access to assets the state isn't yet aware of.

"There's no way I can tell you that Mrs. Berry won't obstruct justice or become involved in the dissemination of the assets which total over a million dollars until we can depose her and the other principles later this week and make sure we have all the assets locked down," says District Attorney Ken Hodges.

Special conditions to Berry's bond prohibit her from leaving Dougherty or Worth counties, having any contact with anyone else named in the case, or coming in contact with anyone over the age of 60.
