Leesburg-- A Congresswoman from metro Atlanta brought her Senate campaign to south Georgia today.

Representative Denise Majette of Dekalb County spoke at the Leesburg Senior Center.

Majette is running for the Senate seat being vacated by Zell Miller.

Majette says she came here more on a fact-finding mission than to campaign. She wanted to hear how people like the new prescription drug benefit cards, "It's very important to hear what the concerns are and the problems people are having coping in their daily lives and so that is the way we can most effectively represent the people of Georgia--to be where they are and to hear their concerns."

After her visit at the senior center, Majette spoke at a seminar on the new prescription drug card in Albany, then campaigned door-to-door.
