PAUSE and get tested for HIV

June 27,2004

Albany -- A promotion to urge Georgians to get tested for HIV and AIDS continues next week in Albany.

PAUSE campaign sponsored by the health department hopes to educate more people about HIV. Health experts say the disease is a growing problem in the African American community where information about prevention isn't widely available.

There will be free HIV testing Monday from 4-7 PM at Bethany Congregational United Church of Chirst in Thomasville.

There will also be free testing in Albany at Albany State University's ACAD building for 9-1 PM. Call the health department for more information.
