Football 101 at ASU

June 25, 2004

Albany - Class was in session at Albany State where football coach Mike White was hosting his second annual Alltel football clinic.

The two day clinic brings in some of the top football minds from the NFL, college and high school ranks to talk not only offense and defense but also organizational and motivational tools.

Albany State offensive coordinator Donald Pittman is hopeful the clinic will continue to grow each year.

Pittman said "We try to get some quality coaches that would come and meet everybody's needs. It is a very good clinic but we just need to get more people interested but that just goes by having it from year to year."

One of the featured speakers at the Alltell coaches clinic is San Diego Charges defensive line coach Wayne Nunnely.

Nunnely will discuss the fundamentals of defensive line play and pass rush techniques.

Georgia running backs coach Ken Rucker and North Texas State offensive coordinator Ramone Flanigan are among coaches scheduled to speak during Saturday's session.
