Albany- Johnnie Bell Carter officially turns 102 on Tuesday, but Saturday she celebrated her milestone birthday with family, friends and church members.
She says she thanks God for every day she's lived, and for the strength He gives her to complete every day tasks.
"I make up my own bed, and I still can put my clothes on. Takes me a long time but I can put them on," Carter laughs.
Carter says her secret to long life is simple, stay close to God, treat everybody right and love everyone as God would.
