Saba opens campaign headquarters

June 15, 2004

Albany- After two decades in office, Dougherty County Sheriff Jamil Saba should have the campaigning thing down.

Tuesday, he started campaigning again as he opened his headquarters. Saba's served in law enforcement for 34-years. But says he still has fresh ideas, like a program to help inmates get jobs when they get out of jail.

"So when they get out, they'll know what to do," Saba said. "Instead of getting out and saying which way am I going to go. It's something that they could do."

Albany Police Lieutenant James Williams is running against Saba.
