Athens--The Georgia Bulldog baseball team leaves Tuesday night for Omaha Nebraska and the College World Series. Leesburg's Kyle Keen, like all of his teammates, is looking forward to stepping on the playing field at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium this week.
In fact, Keen has been dreaming of playing in the College World Series since he watched Georgia's last appearance in Omaha three years ago. At that time, Keen had already signed with Georgia and had just completed a stellar career at Lee County High School.
Now as Georgia's starting center fielder, Kyle Keen is not only looking forward to playing in Omaha but also his Bulldog team winning the school's second national championship in baseball.
Keen said, "I think it finally sunk in Sunday and Monday that we are going to Omaha. We don't care who we play, we are going out there to win the whole thing."
Georgia and Arizona will play the first game of the College World Series Friday afternoon at two o'clock.
