Tift County- Sheila Barron is trying to understand why anyone would hurt her friend, Lucius Harris.

"He's just like a family member and we grew up together. He was a good person," she says. "I'm going to miss him. I'm going to sure miss him."

Friends say the 63 year old lived with his mother until she died last year and did odd jobs for others in the area including his next door neighbor Gail Boone.

"To me he was like a brother because if I needed something done he came and helped me do it. It's just a sad occasion," Boone says.

She says Harris walked nearly everywhere he went, one reason she can't understand why his body was found blocks away on the these Roswell Drive railroad tracks.

"Tears still come to my eyes. It's just a hard thing with me."

Now both women are pleading with the public to help investigators find out what happened to Harris in hopes of bringing closure to the loss of their friend.

"Please come forward. Please come forward because it's a tragedy. Nobody should have to die like that," Barron says.

The autopsy has been performed, but investigators aren't saying how Harris died.
