Americus-- The search for a Sumter County inmate ends late last night.

19-year-old Rodney Fulgham walked off a work detail on Burman Road Thursday afternoon.

He had been serving time for burglary and motor vehicle theft at the Sumter County Correctional Institute. Fulgham was found hiding in some bushes after 10:00 p.m. near where he walked off.

He has been transferred to the Macon State Prison.
