Regents approve VSU project

June 9, 2004

Valdosta - A South Georgia college is one step closer to a multi-million dollar expansion project.

Plans are underway to build Valdosta State University's new Health Sciences and Business Administration Center on the vacant lot between South Georgia Medical Center and the Business School. Tuesday, the Board of Regents approved the 37.65 million dollar project.

The plan will now be submitted to the state's Office of Planning and Budget, and considered by the General Assembly when it convenes for the 2005 legislative session.

The Board of Regents also approved a $16 million Academic Building project at Bainbridge College.
