Valdosta - A Valdosta man was shot multiple times last night.

Police are uncertain what led to the shooting. They were called to Old Statenville Road near the Park Chase Apartments where they found 23 year old Elphonso Moore sitting in a car. He had been shot three times: in the jaw, abdomen and pelvis.

"Witnesses in the area saw two black males walking toward the vehicle and then heard gun shots," said Commander Stephen Heaton of the Valdosta Police Department.

Moore is being treated at South Medical Center for his wounds. Police are looking for two men and a white vehicle seen leaving the scene. Anyone with information should call the Valdosta Police Department tip line at 229-293-3091.
