Georgia native held in NC murder

Alamance County, North Carolina-- A Southwest Georgia native is charged with murdering his 10-year-old daughter last month in North Carolina.

Investigators say 37-year-old Rufus Bishop, Junior shot his young daughter in the back of the head May 24th. Mylesha Bishop died four days later. She was found behind Bishop's burning house in Mebane, which is in the southern part of North Carolina.

Bishop is also charged with setting the home on fire.

 Bishop grew up in Dawson and Albany, and graduated from Monroe High School 20 years ago.

He is being held in the Alamance County Jail in North Carolina.
