Moultrie - A woman survives being stabbed and cut.

Moultrie investigators are looking for the woman's ex-boyfriend, 37-year-old Johnny Ben Sims, Junior. Sims is facing aggravated battery charges.

He's accused of using a pocket knife to stab 27-year-old Corene Florence one time in the stomach and slash her from the forehead to the jaw.

Florence wanted to break up with him. Moultrie Police Sgt. Roger Lindsay says, "Johnny Sims was an estranged boyfriend of hers, they had an on and off affair with each other and he's the alleged perpetrator. He had stabbed her and cut her. The weapon has not been recovered and a warrant has been issued for his arrest."

Both have previous charges of disorderly conduct.

Sims was arrested on May 27th for having a fight with a man.

Florence was arrested on May 16th for fighting with Sims. Florence was treated at the hospital and dismissed.
