Albany- Saturday was the first day of the annual Children's Miracle Network telethon.

Families who have benefited from the donations were also on hand not only to tell their stories, but also thank everyone for their pledges.

18 month old Deshawn Bradford's mother says her son is living proof of the CMN's dollars at work.

"He went through a lot. He was born at 24 weeks, 1pound 8.5 in the NICU unit, and the doctors and everyone were great, so I feel like he needed to be here," says Sandricka Bradford.

The Children's Miracle Network telethon will continue again Sunday from 2 PM to 6 PM on WALB.
