Thomasville - Thomas County Sheriff's investigators say Ben Foster purchased cell phones at AllTel Stores in Thomasville and Albany with checks from accounts that were closed or that never existed. He then sold the phones on the street.
Investigator Pascal Autrey says, "Over the last couple of years, apparently he's been utilizing checks made up to him and a fraudulent company that he represents and going to AllTel purchasing a large quantity of phones and then having them activated and selling them back on the street."
Foster is in the Houston County Jail on similar charges of scamming a car dealership, buying six vehicles with bogus checks.
