Albany -- Lots of clean up work Thursday after powerful storms caused damage all over South Georgia Wednesday. A bolt of lighting struck a massive Red Oak tree and sent it crashing through an Albany home.

The three ton tree split through the roof and several rooms. Clean up crews say it's an unbelievable sight.

"I have been doing this about 20 years and this is up there as far as damage goes. This tree almost crumbed the whole house," says David Edwards of D&D Tree Services

No one was hurt. Workers say it may take up to 3 days to remove entire tree from the home.
