Albany- There were 15 traffic-related fatalities over the 78-hour travel weekend, that's two more than troopers expected.
In fact, both the number of wrecks and injuries exceeded the Georgia State Patrol's predictions for the long Memorial Day weekend.
Even though the holiday is over, troopers are reminding motorists to stay vigilant when it comes to following the traffic laws. The summer Click it or Ticket campaign runs through June 6th and law enforcement will continue to increase their presence on the roadways.
