Valdosta - A South Georgia school is creating a comfortable setting for parents.
Lowndes Middle School showed off its new parent resource room Thursday. The room will be a place for parent-teacher conferences, and there's also a technology area where parents can learn about computer programs their children work with.
"The whole purpose of this room is for parents to get involved with student achievement in our school," said Principal Samuel Clemons.
All of the furniture and accessories in the room were furnished by local businesses.
Lowndes Middle is the first school in the county to have a parent room.
