Thomasville - Thomas County Commissioners approved a conditional use permit for land on US Highway 319, just south of Thomasville.
The 67 acre pecan grove will be transformed into a new home for the University over the next decade. Dr. John Hutchinson says, "Literally from the moment I arrived on campus, we've been working hard, that's two and a half years, trying to get to this point. We're delighted to be on this property and looking forward to building here."
The University will now launch an extensive capital funds campaign to pay for the construction of the multi-million dollar facility.
