Albany -- Seven Dougherty County high school graduates are awarded college scholarship money from the Albany Rotary Club.

The scholars were selected because of their academic records, S.A.T. scores, ambition, and college choices.

Like Westover High graduate Austin Dixon, who has been accepted to Morehouse College. Dixon said "This shows that they are very interested in helping me move on with my career goals, and to eventually make the world a better place."

Each of the Albany Rotary scholars was awarded 12-hundred dollars in scholarship money.
