Thomasville - More than 300 businesses are part of the Business and Education Exchange (BEE) program with Thomas County schools.
One business was recognized this morning for its outstanding work. Commercial Bank employees volunteered more than 230 hours reading to students at Cross Creek School. "We really enjoy it and the bank is just, it's wonderful to work at a place that lets us go outside and work with the community," says Janice Chason.
BEE Director Kathy Keown says, "Over the course of the year they have about 20 people that have every week come into Cross Creek and read with some of our students."
Businesses were nominated by the schools for the award and the chamber of commerce helped choose a winner for the partner of the year award.
