Prison counselors losing positions

Atlanta - Budget cuts are eliminating more than 150 counseling positions in Georgia prisons.

Nine of those positions are in south Georgia at Autry, Calhoun and Lee State Prisons.

One-hundred and twenty seven employees will have the opportunity to apply for other vacant positions within the prison system.

There are also more than 130 job openings in Georgia prisons.
