Albany-- An Albany man has been arrested for stealing a diamond ring from a jewelry store.

Twenty-year-old Kendall Hams is charged with robbery by sudden snatching. Investigators say they see Hams on videotape, May 10th, at the King Tut Jewelry Store on West Broad Avenue.

While looking at a $5,000 diamond ring, he suddenly runs out the door, saying thank you as he runs.

It was pawned just two blocks away at Albany Drive Through Pawn a couple of hours after the robbery. Police are looking for 23-year-old Lamar Tift. He sold the ring to the pawn shop.
