May 18, 2004

Albany-- An outburst by the defendant interrupts a murder trial in Albany this morning. Theresa Jefferson started crying during opening statements this morning.

Jefferson is accused of murdering her four year old son three years ago, and burning their mobile home to cover up the crime.

Judge Willie Lockette had the jury leave the courtroom until Jefferson stopped crying. Court resumes Wednesday.
