Atkinson County - An afternoon of swimming turned deadly for three South Georgians over the weekend.

Thirty-three year old Alberto Castillo, his brother, 29-year-old Miguel Cruz, and his 12-year-old son were swimming in a water hole off Spivey Bridge Road Sunday afternoon. None of them could swim well, and all three drowned.

Other family members pulled them from the water and emergency crews performed C.P.R., but were unsuccessful.
