An alligator found this week is the third one this month. Authorities say abundant rain during mating season could explain the multiple gator reports.

Fitzgerald- Over the years, the Fitzgerald Police Department has investigated hundreds of cases involving stolen property. Now, they are offering people a chance to do the right thing and turn in those items.

Fitzgerald police are offering amnesty to anyone who turns in stolen property. They say they want to do all they can to give people a chance to get hot items off the streets even if it means not prosecuting them.

"I'd love to get some guns off the street. We've had several shootings here in the last year or so, and I would just love to get some of these weapons off of the street," says Chief Bill Smallwood.

The amnesty program will run until July 1st.
