Ben Hill County-- Ben Hill County Sheriff's employee is charged with scamming the department out of thousands of dollars.
31-year-old Secretary Felicia Gaulden was arrested last week on 22 counts of felony Forgery. Investigators say she forged an ex-employee's name on 18 thousand dollars worth of paychecks for almost a year after the man quit the job.
"She admitted to doing the check and all that she admitted to forging their names she says she got into a financial bind and needed the money," says Thurmond Ellis of the Ben Hill Co. Sheriff.
Gaulden was caught after the IRS contacted the former employee and told him he had to pay taxes on the money he was never paid. Gaulden is currently out on bond.
