May 10, 2004

Brooks County--- A fight ended with the murder of a migrant worker early Saturday morning. Now, four other migrant workers are behind bars, charged in connection with the killing.

A tip lead Brooks County Sheriff's deputies to the body of 31-year-old Jorge Torres. He was beaten to death and dumped in a wooded area near his Pavo home.

Investigators say around 2:00 Saturday morning Torres and four co-workers were drinking at a house they shared on Hodges Road when the deadly fight broke out.

All four men are being held in the Brooks County jail. There names have not been released, and investigator don't know what started the argument.
