Ben Hill County- Investigators say Candice Chaney and her mother Wanda Chaney posted $11,000 bond each Thursday night.

The two were arrested for lying to deputies about how 77 year old Alzheimers patient Hugh Dorsey Stephens died.

"They have recanted what their initial statement was. It was a manufactured story," says Capt. Jim Thompson.

Stephens, who lived with the women, was attacked by their pit bull. The dog is being held in the Ben Hill County animal shelter.
