The Deerfield-Windsor Lady Knights are in the GISA final four in soccer for the second time in three years.
The second ranked Lady Knights will play Augusta Prep in the AAA semifinals Thursday at 5:30pm at Mount de Sales in Macon.
These two squads met earlier in the year where Augusta Prep handed Deerfield-Windsor one of their three losses.
That loss was in the first week of the season for a Lady Knight team that has five 8th graders in their lineup.
The entire Deerfield-Windsor team has matured since that loss which they hope to avenge tomorrow and earn a spot in Saturday's championship match.
Senior defender Elizabeth Johnson said "We just had four days of practice with out girls (before first game) so we are ready to go after a full season of practice and we have got some outstanding players and I am ready to see how they have improved and how we are going to improve."
Sophomore midfielder Katie Fletchall said "We have improved alot. We have been practicing hard. Everything has been going pretty well for us. So, we will see what happens.
The winner of the Deerfield-Windsor/Augusta Prep math will face the winner of the other semifinal between top ranked Stratford and Westminster in the championship match which is Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Macon.
