Dougherty duo signing college scholarships

May 5, 2004

Albany- Dougherty High's Reginald Woodson is one of the top long range shooters in the state, but the Trojan guard will not have travel far when he heads off to college.

Reginald Woodson signing with Middle Georgia College Wednesday afternoon while Wanda Brown of the Lady Trojans basketball team signed with Okaloosa-Walton College in Niceville, Florida.

Reginald Woodson was being recruited by Okaloosa-Walton but chose Middle Georgia because of its location and Warriors head coach Scott Moe.

An all-region and honorable all-state mention performer this year, Reginald Woodson averaged 23 points a game in leading Dougherty to a 23-3 record and the region 1-AAAA title.

Wanda Brown only played the second half of this season but she still averaged a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds a game.

Brown also averaged five blocks a contest and despite her limited playing time still earned honorable mention all-region honors.
