Ben Hill County -- The Ben Hill County Drug Task Force is hot on the trail of a man whose house exploded while he apparently was cooking illegal drugs.

Jamie Young's house was damaged and he was badly burned when a meth lab in his home exploded. Police have now issued warrants for his arrest.

Investigators believe Young may be somewhere in Valdosta.

After the explosion Young checked himself out of a hospital to escape police.

Investigators and family members made a public plea for him to turn himself in and get medical attention. If you have any information you should call the Ben Hill County Drug Task force.
