Lowndes County - A South Georgia military base employee wins a national environmental award.

Moody Air Force Base's Chief of Analysis, Gregory Lee, won the Secretary of Defense's premier award for natural resources conservation. The award judges how well the base manages resources to support military missions. "I am very proud because I think it speaks highly of what we're doing at Moody Air Force Base as a team to protect the environment," said Lee.

Only one premier award is given in the whole country each year.
