Valdosta-- The two Albany men are charged with killing P. J. Purani outside his store on West Oakridge Drive Saturday night.
They were arrested about 3:30 Tuesday morning, sleeping in the Valdosta home of one of the murder suspect's mother. Nineteen-year-old Desmond Hart and 21-year-old Terrance Fields are charged with murder, and are being held in the Dougherty County jail.
The Valdosta Police SWAT Tactical Team and Albany Police officers stormed into the house on Wesley Lane with a search warrant, arresting the two murder suspects. Deborah Fields, the mother of Terrance Fields, and her boyfriend Thomas Scott live there.
Police got a tip where to find Fields and Hart. "Information was given to investigators," said APD Lt. Kenn Singleton. "They went forward with it. Made contact with the police agencies in Lowndes County, and this is how this capture was made."
The murder suspects were not armed when arrested this morning. Deborah Fields and Thomas Scott have been charged with hiding fugitives and are being held in the Lowndes County Detention Center.
