Americus- Georgia Southwestern's athletic programs will be branching out this fall.

The Hurricanes are adding men's and women's golf teams and men's and women's soccer teams.

Athletic director Randolph Barksdale says the Georgia Southwestern Foundation has agreed to pay $125,000 a year for three years to cover the start-up costs for the new teams.

The soccer teams will play on the new fields on Simmons Street and the GSW golf teams will play out of the new Georgia Southwestern Golf and Conference Center which is formerly the Americus Country Club.

Georgia Southwestern is currently looking for coaches for the golf and soccer teams.
