Sumner - A South Georgia woman was killed in a wreck Sunday afternoon. The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 82 and Sumner Road in Worth County around 3:00PM.

69 year-old Barbara Braswell, of Sylvester, was turning onto 82 and cut off an oncoming car. The car, driven by 71 year-old Joyce Kirk, couldn't stop and slammed into Braswell's car. Braswell was seriously injured and later died at the hospital. Kirk, of Albany, and her passenger suffered only minor injuries.
