Leesburg--AFLAC announcing the first five of thirty eight players to it's All American Team this afternoon in Aberdeen, Maryland.
Among those honored today was Lee County's Buster Posey, who also receives an invitation to play in the East vs. West Baseball Classic in August.
Posey, a shortstop and right handed pitcher for the Lee County Trojans, is currently batting over .500 with five home runs including a grand slam last night that lifted the Trojans over Lowndes.
On the mound, Posey is a perfect 7 and 0 with a 1.72 ERA and 66 strikeouts. Buster Posey was not able to attend Saturday's ceremonies in Aberdeen but he will receive a jersey and a trophy for the award.
Posey has also been invited to play with Team Georgia this summer in Oklahoma.
The AFLAC All American team will be made up of 38 players when the selection process is complete.
