Albany--Both First Presbyterian Day and Trinity Christian eclipsed the century mark in total points to re-claim state titles in their respective classes Saturday at the GISA State Track & Field meet held at Hugh Mills Stadium.
The Vikings tallied 131 points to literally run away with the AAA title, their second in as many years. Riverside Military Academy was the next closest team in the standings with 98 points. Riverside's Chris Seymour claimed the high point trophy, scoring 23 of those 98 points by himself.
In double-A, Trinity Christian repeated as state champs by totalling 106 points. The Crusaders winning the state title by 32 points over Pinewood Christian. Tiftarea's Jonathan House was the meet's high point champion. House finished with 30.5 points after winning the state title in the 4 by 100 relay and 400 meter dash and taking second in the triple and long jumps.
Westwood's Jamey Shirah had an impressive day as well claiming two state titles for the Wildcats. Shirah took first in both the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles.
