Albany- Members of the Dougherty County Police force did some much needed yard work at the Faith Community Outreach Center in Albany.
The building is a shelter for women and children and serves food to the homeless throughout the week.
"Anytime something opens that involves the community that's going to give back to the community, we always try to come out and help. We normally get accused of being aggressive out there on the streets, and people don't see these type of things that we do for the community," says Lt. James Harris.
Faith Community Outreach Center is hoping to build a playground in newly cleared yard for the children that visit the center.
