Albany- Many people take the lessons they learn in Girl and Boy Scouts all the way through their life.
Albany's Jane Willson was honored Thursday night by the Girl Scouts of Southwest Georgia as a Woman of Distinction. Willson says she's used the lessons you learn as a troop member throughout her life.
"I was a girl scout until a went away to school and I'm a very proud girl scout, so I really believe in the girl scouts," Willson said.
The Girl Scouts of Southwest Georgia look at women from 34 surrounding counties when choosing the award recipient.
